Job Summary

The NCTE is a USFF/PACFLT capability managed by NSWC Corona that provides a virtual range complex that integrates Navy simulation and stimulation systems into a core simulation environment allowing Navy forces to train and

experiment in virtual worldwide locations with realistic weapons and command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, and operationally relevant situations and interactions. The NCTE integrates legacy shore and ship‐based training systems at USN, USMC, and Coalition locations worldwide.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Strong command of wider enterprise engineering efforts that extend beyond A&A

  • Manages a team of ISSE/ISSO personnel consulting on engineering projects and preparing A&A packages.

  • Creates technical documentation such as network architecture diagrams, data flow, technical white papers and process flows.

  • Develops efficient and comprehensive standard operating procedures on how to create A&A artifacts and operate EMASS.

  • Works closely with engineering managers to conduct security reviews through the engineering lifecycle.

  • Interacts directly with government technical point of contact and briefs him contract progress.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Very strong experience with technical topics

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and enterprise architecture design

  • Experience with all steps of A&A, technical and non-technical

  • Experience managing or acting as a lead engineer on IT solutions

  • Experience interacting with DOD customers

  • Be able to acquire or hold a US DOD Secret Clearance

  • Security + required and CISSP a bonus
